OVERVIEW

The Recording Connection Audio Institute’s acceptance standards are very high. The very nature of the in-studio training process requires that students be selected based on employment viability standards, rather than school admissions standards. The truth is, most audio schools accept anyone with a credit card or financial aid handout from the government. The Recording Connection Audio Institute does not work this way. All applicants must first go to an open house interview (at no cost) with their prospective mentor in the recording studio where the student is to be trained. If you are accepted by the mentor and the Recording Connection, only then will you be allowed to train as a Recording Connection student extern.

In short, we’re looking for people who are hardworking, reliable, passionate, and motivated. No previous music or recording experience is required. You will be trained to become a recording engineer and/or a music producer.

PLEASE NOTE: All applicants will be prepared for their open house interview by the Recording Connection’s trained admissions staff prior to their appointment.

How Do I Get Started? The Eight Steps to Success…

The Recording Connection Audio Institute’s enrollment process is involved, but easy to understand.

Step 2: Speak to an Admissions Counselor (you will be contacted by phone within 24-48 hours after you apply). If you do not hear from us within 24-48 hours after applying, please feel free to call us at 800.755.7597.

Step 3: Based on your financial needs, the Recording Connection admissions staff will find a financial package that is right for you. To learn more, speak to an Admissions Counselor.

Step 4: Our Placement Department searches for an externship at a recording studio within one hour from where you live. We will do our best to match your needs with what is available.

Step 5: You will be prepared, by phone, for your complimentary open house interview with your mentor at the recording studio where you will learn.

Step 6: You will go to your open house interview at the recording studio to meet your mentor. Again, there is no charge, and there is no obligation.

Step 7: The Recording Connection Audio Institute will call you within 24-48 hours after your open house interview with an acceptance or denial. Please note: denial is based on your level of motivation, your passion, and your thirst for knowledge. Nothing else.
